Investment options (in real-estate):
Option 1:
The investor has an option of acquiring a property for a total value equal to or above €500,000.
Option 2:
The investor also has an option of acquiring a property for a total value equal to or above €350,000. This is applicable for such properties which are more than 30 years old or are located in distant urban areas and need refurbishing.
Option 3:
The investment fitting any of the above requirements can further be reduced to 20% on the minimum investment, if such propery is acquired in a thinly populated area (€280,000 or €400,000).
Investment options (through capital transfer):
Option 1:
The investor can furnish a capital transfer of minimum €350,000 towards acquiring shares in investment funds, investment in venture capital, set-up of a commercial society with the creation of 5 jobs, or capitalization of existing national companies with creation or maintenance of 5 jobs.
Option 2:
The investor can also provide for a capital transfer of a minimum of €250,000 towards investment in the arts, or for restoration of national heritage projects.
Option 3:
The investor can also mover forwards with the capital transfer of a value equal to or above €500,000 in order to purchase shares in investment funds or in venture capital.
These are the following requirements under this Program -
The investor can live and work in Portugal without any restrictions.
The investor gets a residence visa waiver on his entrance in Portugal.
Travel within the Schengen area becomes easier for the investor.
In a few years, the Resident Permit secures a path to Portuguese citizenship for the investor and his family.
The investor can provide resourceful European education to his children and can go ahead with starting a new venture of his own.
