The applicant can make an investment in either of the following:
Option I: An investment of €1 million in a new or existing Irish business for a minimum of three years. The enterprise can be a start-up registered by the investor.
Option II: An investment of €1 million in an investment fund for at least three years. Investment funds must invest in Irish businesses and projects.
Option III: An investment of €2 million in any Irish REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) listed on the Irish Stock Exchange.
Option IV: An investment of €5 million to a public project benefiting the arts, sports, health, culture or education.

There are no language requirements.
There is a residency requirement for only one day per year.
Ireland has a signed comprehensive double tax treaty with 70 countries, including the US and all EU member states.
