Investment requirements

An individual who wishes to obtain Cyprus citizenship can do so by making a total minimum investment of EUR 2,000,000 in residential real-estate or a total minimum investment of EUR 2,500,000 in combination of residential real-estate, commercial property, infrastructure projects, Cypriot companies and securities, alternative investment funds and other permitted investment options.

The applicant can either invest entirely in one of these options or can make a combined investment.

To qualify for the Cyprus Citizenship Program, the applicant also has to make 75,000 euros as investment into a Cypriot certified innovative enterprise or a donation of €75,000 to the Research and Innovation Foundation in Cyprus.

Other requirements

Out of the total investment, the investor is required to hold a residential property of minimum EUR 500,000. The EUR 500,000 investment in residential property in Cyprus has to be kept for life.
The investor should have a valid Schengen visa granted before the date of application (unless the applicant is a holder of passport exempting them from the need to obtain a Schengen Area visa).
The investor should not have a residency or citizenship denial by any other European country.

Family Coverage

Along with the main investor, his/her family members will obtain Cyprus citizenship. This shall include his/her spouse and children under the age of 28. The main investor’s parents are also included provided an additional investment of €500,000 (plus VAT if applicable), is made in residential property in Cyprus.

Processing time

The citizenship application for Cyprus is usually processed within approximately 6 months.
